Thoughts for the Day

Monday, June 15, 2015

I have been really contemplating structure and routine for this Summer 2015. My kids have only been out 1 week, but I already feel like my wheels are spinning and I'm trying to gain some traction. I came across this quote that I had saved to my computer and it meant a lot to me.

"The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered, 'Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies, having never really lived.' "

I want our family to live in a way where we seize the day and value each and every day.
